Founded in 1980, the Houston Tennis Club (HTC) is a non-profit organization formed to create a framework for promoting athletic competition in the sport of tennis among its members.

 

Our purpose is to increase visibility and create a more inclusive environment for LGBTQ+ athletes in tennis by providing leadership, support, positive experiences, and charitable opportunities.

 

Annually, we select a charitable organization to donate all the funds raised from a variety of events held throughout the year. We believe that it is important to support in any way possible our community.​

 

Most of our meet-ups are for fun, but we also host inner club competitions. In addition, we travel together to play GLTA tournaments worldwide and host our own GLTA tournament every November called HOUTEX.

 

We welcome players of all levels and backgrounds to join our vibrant community.​
